AWARDS:

  • My play Miss Hollywood won the Prestigious Aurand Harris Memorial Playwrighting Award given by New England Theatre Conference.
  • My play There is an Angel in Las Vegas won the “Best New Dramatist Prize” given by Washington D.C’s Source Theater.  Their production won three more prizes in the Washington Theatre Festival.
  • My play Who Collects the Pain won “The Emerging Playwright Award” given by NYC’s Playwrights Preview Productions.
  • My play New Truck for Paulie won “Best New American Play” given by North Carolina’s Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre.
  • My play Kidnapped won the “Best New Play” award given by NYC’s Workshop Theater.
  • My film script Imitate the Sun won “First Prize for Drama” in Hollywood’s American Accolades Competition.
  • My play The Knitting Club won 2nd prize in L.A.’s FirstStage Productions’ “Best New One-Act” competition of 2011.
  • My new play, Wound, won a major award in the 2016 Writer’s Digest Competition, beating out 6,000 other entries.
  • My newest play, Miss Hollywood, just won the esteemed Aurand Harris award, celebrating the best new American play focusing on adolescence.

AWARD NOMINATIONS:

  • My play Broken Birds was nominated for “Best New American One Act” in the Samuel French Festival.
  • My film script Serious Moonlight was a finalist in the Writer’s Foundation’s “Best New American Screenplay Competition.”
  • My film script Breakfast in Paris was a semi-finalist in FadeIn Magazine’s “Best Movie Script Competition.”

GRANTS/FELLOWSHIPS:

  • My play, World of Sinatras, received a grant from the Pilgrim Project.
  • I received a grant from the Puffin Foundation to write another play, The Unraveling I received a grant from the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation to write New Truck for Paulie.
  • I received a grant from the Puffin Foundation to write Kidnapped.
  • I was given a fellowship by the Blue Mountain Center to write Orphans of the Sea.
